I left a well-earned, glowing review for Robert Mack and Kristy when they helped us sell our home in 2019. We were recently in the market to buy a house, went right back to them, and had the same outstanding service. The area we were looking in was a little outside their normal zone, so I initially went to them hoping they might be willing to help us, but really expecting a simple recommendation. Robert insisted on helping us himself. We were up and running with online searches in no time. We had been doing a bit of research so we knew what we wanted in a home. The sellers turned out to be great, but the sellers agent was initially very vague and slow in responding to questions after the inspection, which caused concerns, but Robert was very adept at identifying and getting to the bottom of the communication issues so that the transaction could continue. It is one thing to have a transaction go smooth by accident, it is another to have someone actively working to make sure little things don't turn in to big things. That's invaluable.

We first met Christian in early 2020 when we were looking to purchase our first home. Then the pandemic hit, and we decided to put our search on hold. Christian was great about checking in occasionally, but not too often, and letting us know about where the market was at and how it was changing. When we decided to try again in February of 2021, Christian was one of the realtors we reached out to for an interview.

This was our first home purchase, and so we were very nervous and had tons of questions. He put us at ease right away, and helped make the process very easy, understandable, and comfortable. After years of attempting to purchase a home in certain areas of LA, we finally gave up on the idea and started considering Orange County. My wife and I recently completed escrows on a home purchase and the sale of our last home. Ryan was our agent on both. We want to share with you our experience working with him.
We answered a real estate advertisement online and Ryan responded quickly. He was both professional and personable. Initially we had him, along with an agent from another company, finding properties for us to consider. We first met Rob and his wife at our good friend's housewarming party 8 years ago! Rob was our friend's realtor and we knew who to ask if we ever wanted to buy in the OC.

Well in the midst of crazy Covid, our loan officer Tim, invited us to a Zoom meeting that included the entire Robert Mack Group, and we began chatting to Robert more seriously about buying in the OC.

So the first home that my husband and I emailed Rob about on 8/4/20, he arranged for a tour 8/7/20. We put in an offer for that same home and it closed 9/8/20. I met Christian at an open house, after trying to sell our own home with another agent for a year with no success. We were ready to give up on the entire process. Christian explained the way the Robert Mack Group approaches listing homes and working with clients, and we agreed to give them the opportunity to give us a listing pitch.

After several weeks of our schedules not lining up, during which time Christian diligently and respectfully followed up and kept in touch, Robert and Christian came to our home with a complete market analysis and a plan/strategy for selling our house. They explained why we hadn't been successful in the past year, giving us the hard and honest truth about pricing and staging. I waited 5 months to write this review, to allow for the unknown to be known etc. We worked with Chris Thoreen back in late 2019 to not only sell my house but to buy the next. As a first time home seller, I was nervous and cautious. I heard his proposal and appreciated his professionalism and presentation. I was very unsure regarding the sale price to list my home. In the end, I decided that I was not the professional and that Chris was and that I needed to trust him. So that is exactly what I did; and he called it. He predicted what my house would sell for (above asking and it was an accurate and reasonable list price), and how long it would take. His assessment of my property and evaluation of the market conditions were on point. I can honestly say that if I had not listened to his guidance, I very likely would not be in my new home right now. So, obviously, not only did he do an excellent job of selling my home (we implemented his recommendations fully, so we get some credit for that too), but he tirelessly worked with us to find our new home, which I am over the top happy with (5 months later). While I don't plan on buying a primary residence again any time soon (unless I get lucky!) We were referred to Christian Thoreen-Darnas from another realtor who was not on the ground locally so that he could help with our home search in Riverside County. From the moment I first spoke to Christian I was immediately put at ease and was very impressed with his knowledge of the housing market.
